With 75 years of diplomatic relations, significant progress has been made in the past decade, particularly in bilateral defense cooperation, renewable energy, transportation, and the energy transition agenda.
Recognizing Indonesia’s role in maintaining regional stability in the Indo-Pacific region, Macron expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and optimism for continued joint efforts. Cultural collaboration was also a key aspect of Macron’s visit, with a cultural agreement to be signed at the Borobudur Temple complex symbolizing the growing friendship between the two nations. President Macron expressed his appreciation to President Prabowo for the hospitality and looked forward to further cooperation during his two-day official visit to Indonesia.
