Prabowo highlighted the success of the program, which aims to provide free nutritious meals to schoolchildren, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, and revealed that it has captured the interest of other countries as well.
Since its inception, the MBG program has benefitted over six million individuals, primarily children and pregnant women. This unprecedented initiative has received praise both domestically and internationally, with Prabowo expressing confidence in the program’s potential to reach even more beneficiaries. The government’s goal is to reach 20 million beneficiaries by the end of August 2025, with the possibility of surpassing that target.
The MBG program plays a crucial role in addressing malnutrition, promoting a healthy future generation, and stimulating the local economy by supporting food producers and vendors.
